All 925 Sterling Silver York & Angel 14k Gold or Rhodium plated pieces are protected with an anti-tarnish barrier. In order to maximize the life of your York & Angel jewelry, we suggest following the below care instructions:
  • Preserve your jewelry’s plating by avoiding contact with cleaning agents, beauty products, water and chemicals.
  • Tarnish will accelerate when exposed to water, in high humidity areas, and with people who have a high Ph in their skin. Skin lotions, sunscreen, perfume, hairspray can all also accelerate tarnishing.
  • Remove jewelry prior to exercise, washing your hands or swimming.
  • Protect your jewelry by storing your items in a dry area in the York & Angel cloth bag which was included with your purchase.
  • Clean your jewelry with a dry cotton cloth to renew its shine.
  • Natural gemstones can be fragile. Do not use paper towels to clean your gemstones as they can cause scratching.
IMPORTANT: If you have highly sensitive skin, we advise caution to anyone wearing any kind of metals on their skin for prolonged periods. If you are aware that you have sensitive skin and are prone to reactions or have had green skin tarnishing before we advise you not to purchase silver based fashion jewelry and we take no responsibility or liability for any reactions that may take place; It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure all precautions are taken as we are unable to know each individual's allergies and sensitivities. Our Fine Jewelry is made of 14k or 18k gold. These metals will not oxidize or discolor with proper care.
  • Fine jewelry can be washed with warm water and mild soap. Make sure to rinse well!
